During one of Seattle’s worst winters with temperatures colder than they’ve been in 40 years, the crews at the Equinox jobsite were warm and toasty as a result of some quick thinking.  As reports warned of the encroaching storm, the team threw together a makeshift roof so that work could continue while the rest of the city came to a halt.

Charter Construction teams up with Energy Trust of Oregon

After researching ways to save the owners at Chinook Way Apartments money while improving the condition of the buildings, Charter was able to give back to the client $45,000 cash for replacement windows through the Energy Trust of Oregon.  To further lower operating costs and conserve energy, low flow shower heads, sink aerators and CFLs were installed in all 124 units.  ETO is a non-profit agency developing programs that create cash incentives for homeowners to encourage them to increase energy efficiency.

As a recent Trade Ally of the Energy Trust of Oregon, Charter Construction will continue to find ways to be green and save money for its clients.
